At Prasthan Nepal, we are committed to offering spiritually enriching, safe, and comfortable travel and trekking experiences across Nepal. To ensure a clear understanding between our guests and our team, please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before confirming your journey with us.
To confirm your pilgrimage or trekking journey with Prasthan Nepal, a 30% deposit of the total package cost is required at the time of booking.
Once you are ready to proceed, we will provide our official bank account details. After receiving the advance payment, you will receive a Booking Confirmation Letter along with important information regarding your trip.
The remaining balance can be cleared before your arrival or settled upon your arrival in Kathmandu, as per prior arrangement.
Prasthan Nepal accepts payment via cash or card. Traveler’s Cheques are not accepted.
The remaining balance can be paid in any convertible currency, preferably USD or NPR, or by credit/debit card (a surcharge of approximately 4% applies to card payments).
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone any trip prior to departure due to circumstances beyond our control (such as political unrest, natural disasters, pandemics, or safety concerns).
If such a cancellation occurs:
Prasthan Nepal will not be liable for additional costs incurred in preparation for your trip (visa fees, flight tickets, travel insurance, vaccinations, etc.).
If you decide to cancel your trip after booking, no refund will be issued. However, if cancellation occurs at least 45 days before your scheduled departure, your deposit may be transferred to another tour or date of your choice.
All our itineraries are carefully designed to provide a balanced, safe, and fulfilling experience. However, due to unforeseen factors such as weather, health issues, road conditions, flight delays, or natural events, minor adjustments may be made during your trip.
In such cases, the guide or trek leader has full authority to make on-the-spot decisions prioritizing the safety and wellbeing of all participants.
Each package clearly lists what is included and excluded in the cost. Please review the “Includes & Excludes” section of your chosen tour or trek before booking.
Any additional costs arising from personal expenses, extended stays, or deviations from the itinerary are the traveler’s own responsibility.
For trekking journeys, it is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure that they are physically fit and medically capable of participating in the trek. If you have any pre-existing health conditions, please consult your physician before booking.
Prasthan Nepal reserves the right to refuse participation to any traveler deemed unfit for trekking activities.
Some treks in Nepal reach high altitudes where acute mountain sickness (AMS) or related issues can occur. Our guides are trained to identify and handle such situations. However, it is your responsibility to listen to your guide’s instructions and make decisions prioritizing your health.
If evacuation is required due to altitude sickness or other emergencies, the associated costs (helicopter rescue, medical treatment, etc.) must be covered by your travel insurance or by the traveler themselves.
Prasthan Nepal will obtain all necessary trekking permits (such as TIMS, National Park, or Conservation Area permits) on your behalf. You are required to provide a copy of your passport and passport-sized photographs for permit processing.
Mountain weather conditions are unpredictable, and domestic flight delays or cancellations (especially to Lukla, Jomsom, or similar regions) may occur. In such cases, any additional expenses for accommodation, food, or transport during the delay period will be borne by the traveler.
Prasthan Nepal will, however, assist with rebooking and alternative arrangements to the best of our ability.
You are responsible for your personal belongings, trekking equipment, and valuables during the trip. While our team ensures safety, we are not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
We recommend carrying valuables in a secure, waterproof bag and keeping copies of important documents separately.
Prasthan Nepal strictly follows ethical trekking practices. We ensure fair treatment, insurance, and appropriate equipment for all our guides and porters. We encourage guests to support responsible tourism by respecting our team members throughout the journey.
By booking a trip with Prasthan Nepal, you acknowledge that you are participating in activities that may involve personal risks due to environmental, geographical, and cultural differences.
You accept these risks as part of your pilgrimage or trekking experience and agree that Prasthan Nepal shall not be held responsible for injuries, illnesses, or losses that may occur during your trip.
Valid travel insurance is mandatory for all participants joining trekking or pilgrimage tours with Prasthan Nepal.
Your insurance should cover the following:
You must provide your insurance policy details (policy number, insurer’s contact, and emergency assistance phone number) upon arrival in Nepal.
Prasthan Nepal collects only the information necessary to process your booking and provide the best service. Your data will be used for communication, permit processing, and travel coordination purposes only.
By booking with us, you consent to receive occasional updates about our spiritual tours, special offers, and events.
We do not share your personal information with third parties except for essential service partners such as airlines, hotels, and government authorities directly related to your trip.
By confirming your booking and making a deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions of Prasthan Nepal.
