The Manaslu Circuit Trek (15 Days) offers a challenging yet rewarding adventure through one of Nepal’s most spectacular and untouched regions. Starting from Kathmandu, the trek takes you along rivers, through lush forests, and across high-altitude alpine landscapes with panoramic Himalayan vistas.

This trek provides a combination of cultural immersion and natural beauty, visiting traditional villages and Buddhist monasteries while crossing the Larkya La Pass, the trek’s highest point. The route is less crowded than popular treks like Annapurna and Everest, giving you a more authentic Himalayan experience.

The trek concludes with a return to Kathmandu for a farewell dinner, leaving you with unforgettable memories of the Manaslu region.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival At Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu

Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival, our representative will transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu. Take time to rest or explore the vibrant streets of Thamel. In the evening, meet your trekking guide for a briefing about the Manaslu Circuit Trek.

Day 2: Trek Preparation/Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast, prepare for your trek with equipment checks and a briefing session. Later, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), and Patan Durbar Square.

Day 3: Drive to Machha Khola from KTM

Embark on a scenic drive along winding roads following rivers and terraced hills to Machha Khola, the starting point of the trek. Enjoy the natural beauty of the Marsyangdi River valley and local villages.

Day 4: Trek from Machha Khola to Jagat

Begin trekking along lush forests and riverbanks. The trail passes through small settlements and terraced farmland before reaching Jagat, where you’ll stay overnight.

Day 5: Trek from Jagat to Deng

Trek through bamboo forests and charming villages, crossing suspension bridges and rivers. Arrive at Deng, a traditional Gurung and Tibetan-influenced village.

Day 6: Trek from Deng to Namrung

Continue trekking through the Marsyangdi and Budhi Gandaki valleys. Enjoy panoramic mountain views and local culture as you arrive at Namrung, a scenic high-altitude village.

Day 7: Namrung to Lho Gaun via Lihi and Sho Gaun

Ascend gradually through traditional villages Lihi and Sho Gaun, with stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Reach Lho Gaun, known for its monasteries and Tibetan cultural influence.

Day 8: Lho Gaun to Samagaon

The trail leads through scenic valleys and alpine landscapes, gradually approaching the sacred village of Samagaon, a hub for Manaslu trekkers with stunning views of Manaslu Peak.

Day 9: Acclimatization Day at Samagaun

Rest and acclimatize to the altitude. Optional short hikes to Pungyen Gompa or nearby villages. Explore local culture and monasteries, preparing for higher altitudes ahead.

Day 10: Trek to Samdo from Samagaun

Trek through rocky terrain and barren landscapes, passing traditional villages along the way. Arrive at Samdo, a gateway to the high Himalayas.

Day 11: Trek from Samdo to Dharmasala

Ascend toward Dharmasala, a high camp village providing spectacular views of glaciers and peaks. This is the final preparation for crossing Larkya La Pass.

Day 12: Dharmasala to Bhimtang Via Larke La Pass

Cross the iconic Larke La Pass, one of the highest trekking passes in Nepal, offering panoramic Himalayan views. Descend to Bhimtang, a scenic high-altitude settlement surrounded by mountains.

Day 13: Trek from Bhimtang to Goa

Descend through alpine landscapes, small villages, and riversides to reach Goa, a peaceful settlement perfect for rest and relaxation.

Day 14: Trek to Tilije then Drive to Kathmandu

Complete your trek by descending to Tilije, then transfer by vehicle back to Kathmandu. Celebrate the successful trek with a farewell dinner in the evening.

Day 15: Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight. Depart with memories of one of Nepal’s most breathtaking and culturally rich trekking adventures.
